Dear Preschool Parents,
We had a very fun week at preschool exploring mud and rocks! The sensory table was full of soil, and fun things to find in it. We got to paint our feet with brown paint and create a muddy footprint banner. Some children really enjoyed that sensory experience! One morning we made two batches of chocolate pudding (one with cow’s milk, and one with rice milk) and got to do some taste testing. We talked about how much pudding looks like mud- (but tastes a lot better)! On Wednesday this week we got to go to the Funhouse. It was a great rainy day for it, and the kids had a great time exploring and playing. The snow was a fun treat this week (although it did delay school). Children made snow angels and had some snowball fun. We also played in the frozen water and sand in the sand box, getting good and messy. For future reference, we follow the public school on snow delays and cancellations. If you are wondering if we are delayed, please call 376-1596 and you will get a recorded message from the public school informing you of any delays or cancellations. Sorry for any confusion.
Next week at preschool we are exploring Wind as our theme. We will get out the parachute, which is always a hit, and we will be blowing lots of bubbles as well. We will enjoy lots of books about wind and also get to make our own kites. One fun art project we will get to do is blowing paint with straws-so fun. It is also Dr. Seuss’ birthday next week and we will celebrate by enjoying many of his fun stories.
Thank you to all of you who braved the cold and joined in our work party on Saturday. We did some work in the garden, sanded splintery wood, cleaned the climbing structure, fixed up the pirate ship, and planted lots of bulbs! It is wonderful to have such great families to help us keep our school looking great. The kids really enjoyed the work party as well and got involved with spraying down the climbing structure and working in the garden.
Thank you for sharing your kids with us-they teach us so much and give us some good laughs along the way!!

Jenny, Amy, and Tess.

Quote of the Week: After Logan tripped and fell outside he said, “I’m ok, I’m ok, I am just down here to eat the snow!” by Logan Jones.
