Dear Preschool Parents,
Hope you all had a good week. Preschool was very fun this week as we got into our theme of Frogs and Ponds. Willow caught three little frogs and brought them in this week for us to create a habitat for. The children filled our aquarium with plants, rocks, and wood. The frogs are having a good old time exploring their new home. Come in and check them out. Then we went on a nature walk and caught lots of bugs for the frogs. On our bulletin board the children helped to create a pond scene with frogs, butterflies, ladybugs, ducks…! The children also made bread this week with herbs from our very own garden. Finally this week the children who are going to Kindergarten next year got to go on a great adventure up to the “big school”. Teacher Tess and the pre-K kiddos caught the big yellow school bus on Thursday morning with other children from the other preschools. We had a great time touring the school, playing in the Kindergarten classroom and outside, and having chicken nuggets in the cafeteria. It was so fun and a great introduction to Kindergarten. Overall it was a wonderful week with some good sunshine too!

Next week at preschool we are going to be exploring a theme of Bugs and Butterflies. The children will be making bug window stickers, continue to search for bugs outside, and do some butterfly squish paintings. Nita from the library is coming on Thursday to read stories to us. The children always enjoy her visits and her great books. We hope to have some great sunshine this week and enjoy being outside a lot. The garden is starting to look really great with pea plants, strawberries, and more! Please feel free to come by and check it out-and do some weeding if you like!! Please let us know of your summer plans for your child’s enrollment if you haven’t already. We are filling up and want to make sure everyone is accounted for. Take care and have a great week.

Just a reminder-our end of the year ceremony is not too far away. It is on May 28th at 11 am with a potluck lunch afterwards. We would love everyone who can to join us for this special day!

Jenny, Amy, and Tess.
