Dear Preschool Parents,
We had a very busy, fun, and eventful week at preschool last week. Our theme was Animals and Creatures. We had an amazing visit from naturalists from the Environmental Education Program at Camp Moran. The kids saw wings, pelts, and skulls! We spent a lot of time outside playing, gardening, and blowing bubbles in the sunshine. The main focus of the week of course was the End of the Year Ceremony/Graduation. Thank you all for attending this special event. It was a great success. We really appreciate all our preschool parents for helping us to make a great program for your children. So thanks again, we hope you all had a great time!

Next week at preschool we will be exploring the theme of Marine Exploration. The children will get to do sponge painting, sea life stamp art, and sea life window stickers. On Friday we will take a walk to the beach to look for crabs and other creatures. The children will also get to make bread this week-a popular activity that develops fine motor skills and pre-math concepts. Hopefully are beautiful weather will continue and we will spend a lot of time outside playing. The importance of play can be overlooked at times-but it is a central integrating element in a child’s development and learning. The more play the better! Finally, the garden is looking bountiful these days with peas, strawberries, spinach and more! Come and take a look.
