Dear Preschool Parents, Hope you all had a great week last week and a wonderful Father’s Day. We had a very fun week, even though we missed Teacher Jenny who was having a great time on vacation. Our theme was Dads this week and we finished up our secret project-a wooden keychain and card for Dad. If you didn’t get yours, please check your cubbies in the hallway. Nita from the library came on Tuesday and read some great stories to the children. We enjoyed beading and painting this week. Outside time was so fun with lots of munching peas and strawberries, and playing in the sun. What more could you ask for?!
Next week at preschool we will be exploring the theme of Fire Safety. This is our first week of field trips, and we will be visiting the Fire Station. Please check your field trip day and drop off your children at the ITC conference room on that day-with a lunch! In the classroom we will enjoy doing some painting by blowing through straws-a fun activity that has some amazing results. We will also be making macaroni necklaces and baking popovers this week. On Thursday we will be walking to the Library for story time with Nita. Your children may mention that there are some new kids in preschool. Two joined us last week and we will have a couple more this week. Emilie Gincig is also joining our team at Children’s House. She will be helping out in the classroom and on the field trips for the summer.
Finally, last Thursday was Teacher Amy’s last day. She is on maternity leave and will be coming back in early October. We will miss her tremendously….although we have a feeling she will stop by and see us a lot!! Have a great week.
Jenny and Tess.
