Dear Preschool Parents,
Preschool was full of amazing stories and projects last week as we explored our Native American theme. The children enjoyed making dream catchers and headbands. We also discussed how the Native Americans used corn in their cooking, and then we made popcorn and corn muffins with the children. The stories of First Nation people are so enchanting that the children are fully attentive and interested. The kids had a great time at Mount Constitution this week as well and came back with fun stories about the tower and how high their were. We also visited the Funhouse on Wednesday which is always a blast. The sun was shining on us this week and we soaked it up with lots of water play to keep cool. *Please bring in a swimsuit for your child and extra clothes if you haven’t already!

This week at Preschool we will continue with our Native American theme. The children will visit the museum and Indian Island this week for their field trip which should be very fun. In the classroom we will be doing a paper weaving project as well as making decorative shaker instruments (if we can get enough lids!). *If you have any white paper lids (like the kind used on pint ice cream) we could use them. On Thursday we will walk to the Library for Story Time with Nita which is always entertaining. Jenny will be out on Thursday and Friday, as well as Monday of next week. We will have Val Hellar (Jai’s grandma) with us who is amazing. Khadoma will continue to do singing with the children which is so wonderful. Feel free to come in and sing with us. Have a great week.

Jenny and Tess.
