Dear Preschool Parents, Last week at preschool we continued with our theme of First Nations. The children all got a chance to visit the museum in town and go to Indian Island. In the classroom we did a paper weaving project, a great way to practice fine-motor skills, and they turned out beautifully. We also made bread rolls this week and enjoyed them with our spaghetti lunch. The children continued to enjoy some wonderful books about Native Americans at circle. Khadoma spent time doing music with the children as well which is so energetic and fun. The sunshine was wonderful this week and we spent a lot of time outside playing and having fun. Thank you to Val and Becky who helped out this week while Jenny was spending time with family and I was sick. They did a great job. Overall it was a great week.
Next week at preschool we will explore a camping theme. The children will take a field trip to the lake and go swimming this week which should be so fun. Please remember to pack your child’s swim suit and sun screen them up! In the classroom we will be making paper bag dragonflies, painting with watercolors, and getting out some camping supplies in the dress-up room. Outside we will play with bubbles this week and also have a picnic lunch on Monday. On Friday we will have a wonderful storyteller, Antoinette Botsford, join us to share some Native American stories. Please feel free to come by and listen! Hope you all have a great week.
Happy Happy Baby arrival for Amy and Kinnan last week. Lila Grace (hopefully I am spelling this correctly) arrived on July 22 beautiful and healthy. Congrats!!
Jenny and Tess.
