Dear Preschool Parents,
Preschool was very busy and fun this week as we explored our theme of BIRDS! The field trip this week was our second Creatures & Critters class at Moran State Park, and it focused on birds. In the classroom the children made bird window stickers, decorated owls with pine cones, and heard some great stories about birds. One day we brought the outdoors inside, and made our own mess out of dirt, sticks, and leaves. Overall it was a great week.
Next week at preschool the children will visit Moran State Park for the third and final Creatures & Critters class. This time the focus will be on mammals. In the classroom we will focus on mammals and dinosaurs due to the children's interest in dinosaurs lately. We will be making an animal print mural (including human prints), using dinosaur stencils, and finger painting. We will also do a tangram activity with triangles. This pre-math activity is very intriguing for kids and adults. * Finally, the children will get to attend the children's chamber music event at The Orcas Center on Wednesday. This is a special treat and we are looking forward to it. Hope you all have a good week.
