Dear Preschool Parents, We had a great week at preschool last week while we focused on Mammals and Dinosaurs. The children went to the last Creatures and Critters class at Moran State Park this week. These classes were a lot of fun and quite a treat. In the classroom we did animal print stamps, ice painting, and tangram triangle art. The children enjoyed lots of fun stories about dinosaurs and we played with our big plastic dinosaurs inside and outside. Finally, on Wednesday the kids got to go to the Children’s Chamber Music event which was a special adventure. Overall, it was an active and fun week.
This week at preschool we will focus on Farms. The children will get to visit Blue Moon Farm which is an amazing farm with many animals. In the classroom we will sing farm songs, read farm stories, and share ideas about what comes from a farm. We will also make cotton ball sheep this week, and take a walk to the Library on Thursday for story time. Outside time is still a big part of the day as we try and hold on to some summertime. Hope you all have a great week.
Jenny and Tess.
Quote of the Week: “Oh, Tristan is not here” Teacher Jenny said. Evan King replies, “That is because his voice changed.” Dante Shaepe corrects, “No it didn’t, he is just sick.”
