Dear Preschool Parents, This week was the perfect week to explore our theme of Wind at preschool. We had a very blustery Wednesday and the children loved making plastic bag kites and running through the yard. It was very entertaining. The children also had fun making all kinds of bubbles outside in the wind as well. In the classroom we did some fun prints by painting on plexiglass and then placing paper on top. The end product was some beautiful paintings. Khadoma did music with the children on Wednesday which is always a fun, interactive circle. We also read many great stories and had a lot of fun just playing!
Next week at preschool we are going to start getting the Halloween fever by washing and painting pumpkins, and singing some pumpkin songs at circle time. The children are also going to get to practice some fine-motor skills as they have fun cracking nuts. We will also make some beautiful construction paper spirals covered with leaves that will decorate our classroom. On Thursday we will take our first trip to the Library for Story time with Nita. In the past the children have really enjoyed this adventure and Nita always tells some great stories. Overall it should be a great week.
If you have any small pumpkins or gourds to donate to preschool we would really appreciate it! Thanks in advance.
Jenny,Amy,and Tess!
