Dear Preschool Parents, We had a great time at preschool last week doing some fun Halloween projects. The children got to help carve a pumpkin, make pumpkin cookies, and roast some pumpkin seeds. We also made black kitty cats out of squares and did some water color painting. The children have been singing Five Little Pumpkins at circle time, and got to hear some spooky books. Outside time was full of running and playing, and some of the children also enjoyed raking leaves into a pile for jumping into. It was a fun fall week. Hope you all had a Happy Halloween!
Next week at preschool we will be focusing on Healthy Bodies and Habits as cold and flu season is upon us. The children will learn some fun songs including a great one called Coconut Soap. We will be tracing our bodies this week-this is always an entertaining activity. The children will get wash toys in the classroom with us, and they will also get to see a hand washing demonstration at circle this week. We plan on getting messy as well when we experiment with corn starch and water colors. It should be a great week.
Thank you all for keeping your children home when they are sick. It is the best thing for them and the best thing for all their friends. Let’s stay healthy!!
Jenny,Amy, and Tess.
