Dear Preschool Parents,

Last week at preschool we focused on Bears. The children made some “hidden bears” with a newspaper cut out of a bear and some finger paint. The results were some beautiful pictures and some messy, sticky fingers-very fun! Teacher Khadoma sang with the children on Wednesday as usual. This is always very enjoyable for the children (and the adults) with exciting new songs and lots of smiling faces! Teacher Amy got out the parachute one day and the children were thrilled. It was a windy day and the effect was amazing. The children got to really feel how strong the wind is. Overall, it was a wonderful week.

Next week at preschool we are continuing with Bears…but we will focus on Teddy Bears. On Monday we will also be making “I have a dream” clouds with the children in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The children will hear some fun stories about teddy bears at circle, as well as sing new songs like, “Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear”. On Wednesday we will be having a Teddy Bear Pajama Picnic. The children are encouraged to wear their pajamas to school and bring a favorite teddy bear if they like. We will be making fruit kabobs for the special event as well. Please feel free to join us! Also this week we will be visited by Nita from the library for some wonderful stories and do some teddy bear art projects. It should be a great week.
