Dear Preschool Parents,
Last week at preschool was all about Valentine fun! The children were busy making valentine pockets and actual valentines. Each child made one special valentine to be taken on our walk to the Post Office on Wednesday. The children did a great job on the walk, and they each mailed their valentine away. Mike at the Post Office gave us a behind the scene tour which was very exciting. On Thursday Nita from the library came and told some wonderful valentine stories. The children also made some delicious heart shaped cookies this week. Teacher Jenny boiled a beet and the children used the juice to color the icing for the cookies-yummy and natural! Overall it was a great week!
Next week at preschool we will be talking about “I can do it myself!” with many self help activities to practice. The children will get to practice zipping and buttoning, as well as talking about hand washing, putting on shoes, and hanging up coats! A side theme this week will be Pets. We will be making a pet bulletin board and children are encouraged to bring in pictures of their pets to put up on it. If your child has a small pet they would like to share, please arrange a time with the teachers. The children will also be making their own pizzas this week, working with clay, and doing outside spray bottle painting. It should be a very fun week.
We are having a work party on February 27th. Come one come all!! It should be a fun, productive day!
Jenny, Tess, Amy, Khadoma, Bari!
Quote of the Week: While tapping his head, Mason said, “I am full of ideas in here!”
