Dear Preschool Parents,
Last week at preschool we had a very fun time talking about the environment in honor of Earth Day. The children painted a fabulous earth which is up on the bulletin board decorating the classroom. We also made herb rolls, sang new songs, and read some wonderful stories. On Thursday we took a walk down to the public school to watch the Earth Day Parade. The children loved watching the parade and seeing some familiar faces! Teacher Cara found a snake outside this week, and the children were captivated. We caught the snake and let it spend a couple of days in our aquarium before setting it free. It was a great week!
Next week at preschool we will focus on frogs. The children will get to do some fun art projects this week, and we might even play leap frog. We will sing some new songs this week including Five Green and Speckled Frogs. The children are going to get to get their feet messy this week as we make a large foot painting. We will enjoy plenty of time outside, looking for more bugs and snakes, and maybe even a frog!
Next week is Parent/Teacher conference week. If you haven’t signed up for a conference, please do. If you have signed up, check your time and see you there. Also-we have only received a few Deca Assessments back. If you haven’t brought yours in, please do. If you lost it-we have more!! These assessments really help us plan for your conferences. Thanks so much.
Jenny, Tess, Amy, Khadoma, Cara, and Becky!
