Dear Preschool Parents,
Last week at preschool was a pretty exciting week as we learned about airplanes and other things that fly! The highlight of the week was our walk to Eastsound Airport on Wednesday morning. We were lucky enough to get to watch a Kenmore Air flight land, and tour the airplane. Then Rod Magner talked to us about his 80 year old bi-plane, and the children got a chance to check it out. They were able to ride around in the little toy planes as well- which was a big hit! We read great books about airplanes this week, and talked about all kinds of things that fly, including blimps which no one had heard of! The children made wonderful paper airplanes this week, and also did some fun art projects. It was an exciting, full week!
Next week at preschool we will focus on butterflies and caterpillars. If your child has found any caterpillars lately, feel free to bring them in and we will make them a habitat in our aquarium. We will read some wonderful stories this week, sing with Teacher Khadoma on Wednesday, and do some fun art projects.
We are having a work party this coming Saturday May 22nd. We are hoping to spiff up our yard a little for our upcoming End of the Year Ceremony on the 27th. We also need some help in our garden for any of you gardeners out there! The work party will start at 10am…so please come and join us!!
Jenny, Tess, Amy, Khadoma, Cara, and Becky!
