Dear Preschool Parents,
Last week at preschool the children enjoyed the playing, laughing, and singing with friends. Last week was the official last week of our summer program at preschool, and the children spent a lot of time outside, enjoying the weather. The children said goodbye to some good friends who are entering Kindergarten, as well as Teacher Emilie who is going back to high school, and to Teacher Cara. Teacher Emilie brought a young, fun, and loving presence to preschool, and Cara was an amazing cook and a kind, loving teacher-we will miss them both.
Many of you have heard that Children’s House will no longer be serving hot lunch. We will be serving “brunch”, and children who don’t get picked up at noon will bring their own lunches from home. Lunch will be at 12:15pm. If you have any questions or concerns, please talk with one of the teachers or Jana. One benefit of doing a “brunch” every day is the children will take an active part in preparing it. This coming week is a week of goodbyes and hellos at preschool. This transitional week is an exciting time for the preschoolers and the teachers alike. Our official first day of school for the new school year is Wednesday. We will have said goodbye to good friends heading off to Kindergarten, and will be saying hello to many new preschoolers as well. Teacher Jenny will be in the classroom 5 days per week; Teacher Tess will be in the classroom 4 days per week; and Teacher Amy will be with us 3 days per week. We spent yesterday and today changing around our classroom and preparing for this first week-and we are so excited! This week will be “all about me” as we get to know each other and our new routine.
Thank you so much for all you do as parents to your wonderful children. We value you as your child’s most important teacher, and encourage you to communicate with us as much as possible with any questions or concerns.
Jenny, Tess, and Amy!
