Dear Preschool Parents,
Last week at preschool we had a lot of fun with seeds and all things Spring! The children made some beautiful seed art that we have up on one of our bulletin board for you to come and check out! We had fun with our play-dough, mixing in rocks, seeds, pinecones, and flowers made out of pipe cleaners. Both Didier and Nita visited this week to read to the children, and Teacher Emilie told some memorable stories at circle time…be sure to ask about the worm story! Thank you to all the parents that came to parent/teacher conferences last week. They are such a great opportunity for us to not only talk about your child’s development, but also gain valuable information from the experts (parents!). If you missed your conference, or didn’t get one scheduled, please just talk with Teacher Jenny or myself to schedule one.
Next week at preschool we are focusing on the Earth and environment in honor of Earth Day. We will be doing some recycling artwork (feel free to donate fun recyclable items), planting in the garden, and picking up trash around the yard. We will also be planting the Orbeez in the garden as well. They have started to break and get a little old, and Orbeez help keep moisture in the soil. Didier is reading to the children this week as usual. Feel free to join circle sometime when he is here-it is so entertaining! Finally, I am out of the classroom all week (on vacation with my family in California). We are lucky to have Emilie and Jen fill in all week! Enjoy!
