Dear Preschool Parents,
First off, hope everyone had an amazing mother’s day! We have some fabulous Children’s House moms that deserve the best! Sorry to send this newsletter a little late, but I was enjoying my day as well and time flew by…
Last week at preschool we worked on our secret project (the water color/button paintings), which turned out wonderful. The children did some fun art with Teacher Emilie this week, played with playdough, and also got to bake bread with Teacher Jenny. On Thursday, Nita from the library came and read some wonderful stories to the children. We also have been practicing a few songs with the children including “Make New Friends” that we will be singing for you all at the End of the Year Ceremony on May 31st. Teacher Jen was in the classroom towards the end of the week while Teacher Jenny jetted off to Florida! Thanks Jen!
Next week at preschool we are focusing on Clouds! Could it really be sunny all week for cloud week? We will see I suppose. The children will get to make a great big cloud with glue and shaving cream for our bulletin board. We are also going to make smaller clouds to hang from our ceiling to decorate the classroom. We plan to spend some time lying on the grass and just looking at the clouds…I wonder what we will see? Hopefully we will have a Didier visit this week-no promises yet. We will have another visit from Nita on Thursday for sure! Teacher Jen will be in the classroom more this week while Teacher Jenny is out. It should be a great week!
Finally, Teacher Jen is moving to Sacramento in a couple of weeks. She has been a wonderful part of Children’s House and we appreciate her so much. We will miss her dearly, but are excited for her new adventure in life. We wish her the best of luck! We love you Jen!
