Dear Preschool Parents,
Last week at preschool we had an amazingly sunny week…just in time for our cloud week! The children made some fun little clouds with shaving cream and glue. They are all hanging up around the classroom (Thank you Teacher Emilie)-come and check it out! We also used cotton balls and glitter at the back table, and did some plexi-glass painting too. We really appreciated that Teacher Jen and Teacher Linda helped out while Teacher Jenny was out of the classroom this week. Teacher Linda told some great stories, including one with a real raccoon skull! The kids loved it. We spent a lot of time outside in the sunshine this week. Thank you for those of you who have turned in the sunscreen form and brought in sunscreen for your child. Licensing requires us to have an individual sunscreen for each child, so if you want your child to wear sunscreen at school, please bring some in and fill out the form! Thanks! Finally, Nita from the library came on Thursday and read stories to the children. It was a hit, as usual!
Next week at preschool we are talking about caterpillars and butterflies! The children are going to be building their own construction paper caterpillars, and also making beautiful butterfly prints. We will be reading some great stories including the classic, “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle. We are also going to start making our crowns for the End of Year Ceremony on the 31st. Hopefully we will have a visit from Didier this week for stories and gardening as well. Please mark your calendar for Wednesday May 23rd if your child is going on the Kindergarten bus ride and tour. Please be on time for school that day-we will be boarding the bus by 9:05am!! Questions-please ask! It should be a great week!
Jenny, Tess, and Emilie!
