Dear Preschool Parents,
Last week at preschool we had a great time learning about caterpillars and butterflies! The children made some beautiful caterpillars out of construction paper circles, and made some lovely butterflies too. We also got started on our crowns for the End of the Year Ceremony next week. Wednesday was a big day for our future Kindergarteners as we headed off on the school bus to the big school. The children got to see the Kindergarten classrooms, play on the playground, tour the school, and eat a hot pizza lunch! It was a lot of fun and a great experience to prepare for next fall. On Thursday, Didier came and read to the children. They really love how silly and entertaining he is, and we appreciate him a lot. It was a great week!
Next week at preschool is all about getting ready for our End of the Year Ceremony. We will be continuing to make our crowns…decorating them with feathers, glitter, and more. The children will be practicing some of their favorite songs this week, preparing to sing them for you. We will also make some delicious bread rolls to share at the Ceremony (it is a potluck!). The End of the Year Ceremony is Thursday at 11am. This is a very sweet event, so if you can come, please do! Thanks for sharing your children with us all year! And a big thank you for all the families that participated in the Pet Parade to help kick off the mayoral campaign! Vote, vote, vote!

Finally, I sent out a letter last week letting you all know that I am leaving CH. I wanted you all to know my last day is Thursday May 31st. Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your children’s lives. I have so enjoyed my time at CH, surrounded by some amazing women (and pretty amazing kiddos!) It has made me a better teacher and a better person.
Jenny, Tess, and Emilie!
Quote of the Week: I said to Issy, “Hi Isabel taco shell!” Issy replied, “I am not crunchy enough to be a taco shell-but you can eat me anyway!”
