ORCAS ISLAND CHILDREN'S HOUSE CLOSED

MARCH 17th - until at least APRIL 24th

Dear Families, Staff, and Community Members,

At Children’s House, we take our role in our community seriously.  For 50 years, Children’s House has had the sacred responsibility of caring for young children and nurturing young minds.  In those 50 years, we have never faced a global pandemic like COVID-19.

Today, Governor Inslee closed all K-12 schools in Washington State beginning Tuesday, March 17th through April 24th.  This means that the Children’s House will also close to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and ultimately save lives.

OICH will prorate tuition during this public health emergency closure.  Tuition adjustments will be credited to the following invoice returning from a closure.

Yesterday, a parent said to me, “Well, at least we are all going through this together.”  It’s so true.  As serious as the situation is, it is an opportunity to be our best selves - kind, helpful and creative in the face of adversity.

We are all in this together.  Stay safe and healthy.

Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Be well,

Ady Walker
