Rest In Peace, Mayor Noni.   2004-2020

It is with heavy hearts that we announce Eastsound’s Honorary Mayor of the 2019-2020 term, Noni, has passed away. At the noble age of sixteen (112 in dog years), she left behind a legacy that will be remembered for generations of islanders to come. We would like to thank Noni for her leadership, we will always remember her floppy ears and her bark that represented our town with such vigor. Though her term was cut short, her impact will live on. Orcas Island Children’s House will be forever grateful for Noni and her owner Dave Roberts for their support. Noni, you will be missed.

FROM CLASSROOM TO PLAYGROUND, we provide the experiences young children need to be kindergarten ready. Our program is tailored for students ages 1-6 and presented in an engaging environment that stimulates their creativity and feeds their imagination.   Want to learn more? Watch our short video.

Low teacher:child ratios, professional teachers and individualized instruction make Children's House unique.

1:4 students in the Toddler Center and 1:6 in the Preschool. We believe these ratios give young children the attention they need to develop successfully.

Dedicated to helping children grow, we know building relationships is an important component to learning and enjoying class each and every day.

Presented in an engaging environment – indoors and out.  It may not look like it, but when students are at play in our facility, the environment and interactions are intentional to promote learning. The byproduct is fun!
