Tuition Rates and Fees

Monthly tuition is calculated based on the classroom and the number of sessions you elect. Tuitions consider the educational hours provided over the 9 ½ month schedule, averaged into 10 even payments due the 5th of every month Sept. through June. This is a flat monthly fee based on a 41-week school year.

An annual registration fee of $55 is due on enrollment.

  • FULL-DAY Sessions are 8:30 AM -3 PM

  • HALF-DAY Sessions are 8:30 AM-12 PM

  • SUMMER SESSION runs 9 weeks, June-August. Rates are distributed at registration in May.

Children’s House is open year-round. Registration paperwork is required in August (for the school-year session), May (for summer session) and for all new students regardless of the enrollment date.  A "drop-in" is any time other than that designated in the enrollment contract and requires approval to ensure Children's House remains within our low Teacher:Child ratio.

Drop-ins for Children’s House families are billed separately at $8 per hour (two hour minimum). Children’s House also accepts prearranged drop-ins for families whose children are not enrolled in our program. These drop-ins must be scheduled in advance and are billed at $10 per hour (two hour minimum) with payment due on pickup.

Funding sources
You may qualify for Working Connections through the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS.) Please call (800) 735-7038 to determine eligibility. Because you are responsible for completing paperwork with DSHS, you are liable for all charges that may incur before funding is authorized.

For Preschool students (ages 3-5 years), funding may be available through the Early Childhood Assistance Program (ECEAP). This is a state-funded program to prepare children for kindergarten. Applications are available at the ECEAP office at the Senior Center. ECEAP spaces are limited so we encourage you to apply early. Eligibility for ECEAP is broad and varied and not limited to income guidelines so visit the ECEAP office. This support extends September through May. Call the ECEAP San Juan County office for details: 360.370.0593

Children’s House offers a limited amount of tuition assistance in the form of labor exchange or scholarship support for families who apply and qualify for it. We are grateful for financial support provided by The United Way of San Juan County and the privately funded Early Childhood Education Initiative which work on behalf of our community to ensure all children have access to high quality preschool. Call 360-376-4744 for details.
