Health Protocols

Children’s House makes a good faith effort to slow the spread of communicable diseases by following Washington Department of Health recommendations. Children and staff who are ill are asked to refer to the Department of Health Decision Tree and stay home when necessary.

Here’s what we’re doing…

  • Guardians are asked series of health screening questions via our Brightwheel App check-in process, they are asked to confirm that their child has had:

-No fever, chills, or fever-reducing medicine

-No cough or shortness of breath

    -No headache or fatigue

    -No nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea

-No congestion, runny nose, or sore throat

    -No body or muscle aches

-No contact with persons with COVID-19 in the past 10 days

-No loss of taste or smell

  • Children wash their hands before beginning their day.

  • We have adjusted our school day to spend more time in our outdoor classrooms.

  • Hand washing is frequent throughout the day for staff and children.

  • New clean-air ventilation systems have been installed.

  • All classrooms are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized at the end of each day.

  • Mask wearing is optional for staff and children.
